Your code stays on your machine. This policy explains that local-first boundary and the limited information handled when you visit our website or contact us.

Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Technodweep ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit gitdweep.com, download GitDweep, or use the GitDweep desktop application. It does not govern third-party websites, Git hosting providers, or services that you choose to use with GitDweep.
The desktop app is local-first
GitDweep works with the repositories and system Git installation already on your computer. The app does not require a GitDweep account, and ordinary use does not upload your repositories, source code, commit history, credentials, branch names, file paths, or workspace configuration to us.
Workspace configuration is stored locally in an SQLite database in your operating system's application-data directory. It remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the app and delete its local data.
Remote Git activity follows your setup.
When you fetch, pull, push, or otherwise use a configured remote, your system Git connects directly to that provider. The provider's privacy terms apply to that connection; GitDweep does not route it through our servers.
Information handled on the website
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics on the production website to understand how the site is found and used. Its standard implementation may collect page views, session activity, approximate location, referring pages, and browser, device, and operating-system information. Google Analytics may use first-party identifiers such as the_ga cookie. Google processes an IP address at collection time to derive approximate location and states that GA4 discards it before the address is logged.
Server and security logs
Our hosting and delivery providers may automatically process limited request data such as IP address, request time, requested URL, user agent, and error or security events to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
Information you send us
If you contact us or open a public issue, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact details, message, diagnostic details, or issue content. Please do not include repository credentials, secrets, or confidential source code in a public issue.
How we use information
- Operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website.
- Understand aggregate traffic and improve GitDweep and its documentation.
- Respond to questions, support requests, feedback, and security reports.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our users, services, and rights.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. You can also use Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking analytics does not affect GitDweep's desktop features. Browser privacy controls may vary, and there is not currently a universally accepted response to Do Not Track signals.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. Use the contact method below to make a request. We may need to verify it, and legal exceptions may apply.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, support, legal, and record-keeping needs. Analytics and provider logs follow the retention settings and practices of the relevant provider. Local app data is controlled by you on your device.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no internet transmission, system, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
International use and children
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms and provider safeguards. GitDweep is intended for developers and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and contact
